Point Loma Children's Dentistry is a pediatric dentist in San Diego, California. It is listed at 2445 Truxtun Rd Ste 106, San Diego, CA 92106, which places it among the local businesses of San Diego that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In San Diego, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across California, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Point Loma Children's Dentistry at (619) 567-8977; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pointlomachildrensdentistry.com.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 210 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pediatric dentists in San Diego.
San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Dentist is nice. Receptionist couldn't bother to turn off the T.V. for us. My kids don't do T.V. or technology (they're 4 and 20 months old), and she said it's on for the other kids, but when they left she didn't bother to turn it off. ... We waited outside to avoid T.V. and she couldn't even bother to tell us our name was called when we were right outside the door... she could see us. My kids were behaving very poorly because of the T.V. and she wouldn't help. Very poor service from her. The dentist/doctor was extremely helpful. My son was scared of the electric toothbrush, so she brought out a normal toothbrush and did her best to get unflavored toothpaste to help him. I did find it weird that she asked "are you not ok with forcing him...?" It's brushing his teeth. It's not necessary to force someone to do anything so minor when he can do it comfortably at home or do it another way. After he felt comfortable, she did the electric toothbrush with no issues. I was very surprised he had such behavior, since he doesn't do that at home. I was told we can bring toothpaste from home! Very nice. The doctors were very patient and willing to help, although I was uncomfortable with some im

We absolutely love Point Loma Children’s Dentistry. The entire staff is friendly and caring and always make my son feel safe. In fact, he actually likes going to the dentist. They’ve decorated it in such a playful way that it is fun and uplifting. Additionally, they always invest in the latest and greatest tech and I know my kid is getting the best care.

This place is great, we brought our 2 year old son for his first dentist visit and we were able to get his cleaning and exam complete. The office decorations are a great distraction with tons to look at and explore.

Dr. Nora and her team at Point Loma Children’s Dentistry are truly exceptional. My two kids have been seeing them for almost 10 years, and thanks to their care and guidance, they’ve had zero cavities the entire time. Beyond their professionalism, what really stands out is how they motivate kids to take pride in their dental health. The “No Cavity Club” has been such a fun and effective incentive—both of my kids are proud members, and it’s clearly made a lasting impact. The office itself is another highlight. The underwater-themed decor creates a calm, welcoming environment that actually makes my kids excited to go to the dentist—something I never thought I’d say. We’re incredibly grateful for the consistent, thoughtful care they’ve provided over the years. I can’t recommend Dr. Nora and her team highly enough.

My son recently had his first dentist visit here. His experience was great! I was very pleased with Mrs. Kayla! She honestly treated my son as one of her own, and she made sure that he was comfortable, and she was really patient with him. She also made sure to communicate well with my husband and I, which I really liked. The entire staff on the day of my sons appointment was great too! I also really liked the way the rooms are designed. The tv on the ceiling was soo helpful. Will definitely keep coming back!
